For the older scout who has lernt the rudiments of camping and hiking it is time to look further afield. Cycle camps have proved very popular and take the scout many hundreds of kilometers from home. Usually the route chosen is to some little known area off the main roads. The more adventurous scouts choose to visit the main tourist attractions such as the Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe Ruins and Lake Kariba. As these attractions are many hundreds of kilometers apart, motor vehicles are used - another aspect of scouting for the senior scout.
