1975-10-05 David Davies a Chief Scout David Davies of the 11th Bulawayo (Riverside) Scout Troop, who has received the Chief Scouts Award for general ability and leadership qualities. It was presented to him on Friday by his Troop leader Mr Hudson Felgate, on behalf of the District Commissioner for Scouts, Mr C. Wilcox, in the Riverside Scout Hall. David (17), of Christian Brothers College, joined the Scouts in 1969. He earned the award in tests in the past year. The presentation was made at a parents evening arranged y the Troop, at which there were talks on the 1975 Jamboree in Norway by Bulawayo Scouts who attended - Peter Watson, Ian Gardner and Richard Millar.
