Watched by members of his Troop, Patrol Leader Ian Dickinsonof the 7th Christ the King Scout Troop, Bulawayo, receives the Chief Scout Award from Provincial Commissioner Mr Chuck Wilcox. Ian's links with scouting go back many years. His great-grand-father, although not a Scout, fought with Lord Baden Powell in the Matopos campaign during the 1896 Matabele Rebellion. He is the first member of the Troop to receive the award, gained by passing a series of tests of leadership, responsibility and other capabilities.
