1979-06-2 Scouts Get Top Awards Three members of the 8th Bulawayo Hillside Scout Troop were presented with awards at a ceremony at the Hillside Scout Hall yesterday. They are (from left) Ross Johnston (18), Brett Fulton (15), and Mark Fulton (18), all pupils of Hamilton High School. Ross and Mark both won the Sable Award, which is the top scouting award in the country, and Brett won the Chief Scout Award for younger scouts. To win the awards, the boys did six months service to the community, obtained instructors proficiency badges and attended a 10 day hike camp in South Africa where they went through excercises in mapping, pioneering, mountaineering and water sports.
