The Gordon Park Plaque In These Matopos Hills in 1896 Lord Baden Powell, Founder of the Scout Movement, was practising the Principles of Scouting for the purposes of Soldiering and war. In these same Matopos Hills this Training Ground is dedicated, in 1936, to the Teaching of the Principles of Scouting in the sense of Good Citizenship and Peace. 8th-11th August 2009 - Zimbabwe Scout Centenary Camp at Gordon Park, Matopos.
