A leather Album cover - edges bound in leather lace through punched-holes. The picture was made at night, in the Stables lounge - first by softening the leather by keeping it in a damp cloth; then drawing a pencil picture of the Gordon Park Badge onto the leather, and finally getting a... "propelling pencil", but instead of putting a lead in the pencil, leaving the end hollow, and pressing that round hollow end into the soft leather - painstakingly making the image up, of lots of round dots. |
