1957-01-01 Wood Badge course at Matopos The first Cub Wood Badge course held in the Federation is being run at Gordon Park, Matopos. The Wood Badge Course was organised so that Scouters (mainly Cubmasters and "Lady" Cubmasters from throughout the colony) could get the qualification, and also learn Cup Pack management. There are 10 Scouters under the leadership of Miss N. Connolly, of Bulawayo, undergoing the course. The itinerary, which lasts a week, was revived from similar courses at Gillwell Park England.
