1980-09-27 City Scout wins top award
Neil Wratten (above) was last night awarded the highest scout honour in the country - the Boy Scout Sable Award. Neil (18) a Lower Sixth pupil at Hamilton High School, holds five other awards in the Movement including the advanced and Chief Scout Awards. Some of the tests for the Sable Award include a 80km trek, six months service to the community, and duty to service to God. The candidate has to gain the St Johns or Red Cross adult certificate. "I feel tremendous attaining such a high standard in the movement" said Neil.
