1980-11-09 Cubs Rewarded
Eight Bulawayo cub scouts were yesterday awarded the World Conservation Badge, the result of six months hard work involving projects on conservation, tours of wildlife sanctuaries near the city and anti-litter campaigns. The badge, one of the most difficult awards for Cubs to win, has been presented only once before in Matabeleland. Those who received it were Eugene Ansley, Brendan Blyth, Ian Craigie, Sean Kristafor, Sean Millar, Ian Sampson, Craig Stroebel and Peter Wiley, all aged between nine and 11. Here Mrs Thora Kristafor, leader of the cubs discuss some projects with her budding conservationists.
