Joan Bennett outside Bulawayo Post Office 1937 Background: My mother, born Joan Anne Bennett April 1921 Bulawayo, was in the Guides, later the WAAFS and married a young RAAF pilot in 1944 in Gwelo. Moved to Australia in 1945 and in the 1950's started the guides group in Warialda NSW. I was enrolled into the scout movement at the same time. Mum died in 1983.
