Lady Stanley with Joan Anne Bennett and Baden-Powell Bulawayo 1936 Girl Guides Okay, the writing on the back of the first photo and I quote; "With Lady Stanley, the wife of Sir Herbert Stanley, Governor of Southern Rhodesia. Visit 30th March to 4th April 1936". (It is such a tragedy that we can no longer enjoy the participation of eminent personages in the community to support these vital community building organisations and I think that we, as a whole, are paying the price in the resultant societal degradation...)
